1. About these terms
These terms apply to the app Alibi Files (the “App”) and to this website. The App is published by i2p30m (“we”, “us”).
If you download the App from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you download it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Where these terms and the store’s terms differ on purchases, payments or refunds, the store’s terms prevail.
How we handle data is described separately in our privacy policy.
2. Your licence to use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the App, and any content you unlock, on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use – within the usage rules of the store you downloaded from.
You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the App or its content (including the cases and their solutions in bulk), or reverse-engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it.
3. Who the App is for
The App is a logic game with a crime theme, intended for players aged 16 and over. If you are younger than the age of digital consent in your country, please use the App with the permission of a parent or guardian, who then accepts these terms on your behalf.
4. Free content and in-app purchases
- The App is free to download. Case file 1, the daily case and 3 hints a day are free, with no time limit.
- Further case files can be unlocked with optional one-time purchases, one file at a time or all together (“All case files”, which also removes the daily hint limit). What each purchase includes is described on the store screen in the App.
- Prices are shown in the store in your local currency, including any taxes the store collects. Payment is processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your payment details.
- Purchases are linked to your App Store or Google Play account. You can restore them on other devices using the same store account via “Restore purchases” at the bottom of the store screen. Purchases do not transfer between the App Store and Google Play.
- The App currently offers no subscriptions. If we ever offer one, its price, billing period and renewal terms will be shown clearly before you buy, and you will be able to cancel it at any time in your store account settings.
5. Refunds and the right of withdrawal
Because purchases are processed by Apple or Google, refunds are handled by them under their policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases, or from your Google Play order history for Google Play purchases. If something went wrong, write to us too – we are happy to help.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made online. For digital content that is delivered immediately, this right ends once the delivery has started with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal – which the store asks you to confirm when you buy.
6. Our content
The App, its cases, illustrations, sounds, texts and code are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by copyright. Fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of this to you.
7. Updates and availability
We improve the App over time, so updates may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep content you have paid for available in future versions. The App may occasionally need a current operating system version or an update to keep working. If we ever stop offering the App, content you have already unlocked keeps working on devices where the App is installed.
8. Our responsibility
We take great care to make the App reliable and every case fair and solvable. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights regarding the conformity of digital content (in the EU, under Directive (EU) 2019/770 and national law), and nothing in these terms limits them.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.
9. Complaints
If the App or content you bought does not work as described, please write to support@[your-domain] with the App version (shown at the bottom of Settings), your device model and a short description of the problem. We reply to complaints within 14 days.
If you are a consumer in Poland, you can also get free help from your local consumer ombudsman (miejski lub powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). Consumers elsewhere in the EU can contact their national consumer centre (ECC-Net).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in the courts of that country.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes will not affect purchases you have already made.
